- Limited Warranty Coverage
Leoelectromech warrants that product supplied are free from material defects in workmanship under normal industrial use and proper storage conditions for a period of:
12 months from the date of delivery, unless otherwise specified in writing.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- Scope of Warranty
This warranty is strictly limited to:
- Repair of the defective product, or
- Replacement of the defective product, or
- Refund of the original purchase price (at Leoelectromech’s sole discretion)
Leoelectromech reserves the exclusive right to determine the appropriate remedy.
- 3. What Is Covered
This warranty applies only to:
Manufacturing defects
Internal component failure under normal, proper industrial operation
Products that have not been altered, modified, or improperly handled
All products must be used strictly in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- What Is NOT Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Incorrect part selection or specification errors by the customer
- Improper installation, wiring, programming, or configuration
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Damage due to overvoltage, short circuit, power surge, or electrical faults
- Environmental damage (moisture, dust, corrosion, heat exposure, vibration)
- Mechanical damage after delivery
- Normal wear and tear
- Products that have been energized, installed incorrectly, or used outside manufacturer parameters
- Consumables or limited-life components
- Compatibility issues with existing systems
- Downtime, labour, reinstallation, programming, or project delays
Leoelectromech does not guarantee suitability for any specific application unless explicitly agreed in writing.
- Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Verifying part numbers, compatibility, and technical specifications prior to purchase
- Ensuring proper installation by qualified personnel
- Providing adequate surge protection and environmental safeguards
- Following all manufacturer handling and storage guidelines
Failure to meet these responsibilities voids the warranty.
- Warranty Claim Procedure
To initiate a warranty claim:
- Notify Leoelectromech in writing within 5 business days of discovering the issue.
- Provide:
- Order number
- Product part number and serial number
- Detailed fault description
- Photographs and/or video evidence
- Wait for written Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping the product.
Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
- Inspection & Testing
All returned items will undergo inspection and diagnostic testing.
If:
- The product is confirmed defective → warranty remedy will apply.
- No fault is found or damage is due to external causes → testing and return shipping fees may apply.
Leoelectromech’s technical assessment is final.
- Shipping & Risk of Loss
- Customers are responsible for shipping products to Leoelectromech for warranty inspection.
- Products must be properly packaged to prevent transit damage.
- Leoelectromech is not responsible for items damaged during return shipment.
For international customers, all customs duties and clearance charges remain the customer’s responsibility.
- Third-Party Manufacturer Warranty
Some products may carry a manufacturer’s warranty. In such cases:
- Warranty is subject to the original manufacturer’s terms and approval process.
- Leoelectromech acts only as a supplier/intermediary.
- Final warranty approval may depend on manufacturer evaluation.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Leoelectromech shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- We are not responsible for loss of production, downtime, lost profits, or contractual penalties.
- Maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

- No Additional Warranties
Except as expressly stated herein:
- No other warranties, express or implied, apply.
- Any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are expressly disclaimed where legally permitted.
- Force Majeure
Leoelectromech is not liable for warranty delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supplier delays, transportation disruptions, or regulatory restrictions.
- Governing Law
This Warranty Policy shall be governed by the laws of South Africa without regard to conflict of law principles.
