- General Policy Statement
Leoelectromech is a global supplier of industrial automation equipment based in south Africa and industrial spare parts. Due to the technical nature, sourcing process, and industrial application of our products, all returns and refunds are strictly governed by this policy.
By placing an order with Leoelectromech, the customer agrees to the terms outlined below.
- All Sales Are Final Unless Otherwise Approved
All sales are considered final unless:
- The item is defective upon delivery, or
- The incorrect product was shipped by Leoelectromech, or
- A return is explicitly approved in writing by our team.
We reserve sole discretion to approve or deny any return request.
- Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:
- Special-order or customer-specific sourced items
- Custom-configured PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, or control components
- Opened, installed, powered, programmed, or tested products
- Electrical components that have been energized
- Obsolete, discontinued, or hard-to-source items
- Clearance or discounted items
- Products without original manufacturer packaging
- Items damaged due to improper installation, handling, storage, or misuse
Due to the sensitive nature of automation equipment, any product that has been installed or connected to power is automatically considered used and non-returnable.
- Return Request Timeline
All return requests must:
- Be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery
- Include the order number and detailed reason for return
- Include clear photographic or video evidence (if claiming damage or defect)
Failure to notify us within 48 hours constitutes acceptance of the goods.
- Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If a product is delivered damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Notification must be provided within 48 hours
- Original packaging must be retained
- We may require return inspection before issuing replacement or refund
- We reserve the right to test and verify claimed defects
If testing shows the product is functional and not defective, return shipping and inspection fees will be charged to the customer.
- Return Authorization Requirement
No return will be accepted without prior written Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
Unauthorized returns may be:
- Refused and returned at customer expense
- Subject to additional handling charges
- Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to:
- A minimum 25% restocking fee
- Deduction of original shipping, handling, customs, duties, and transaction fees
- Additional inspection or repackaging costs (if applicable)
Restocking fees may be higher for special-order or imported items.
- Shipping & Risk of Loss
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Products must be securely packaged.
- We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
- International customers are responsible for customs documentation and clearance.
- No Warranty on Installation or Compatibility
Leoelectromech supplies industrial components based on customer specifications and part numbers provided.
We do not guarantee:
- Compatibility with existing systems
- Suitability for specific applications
- Performance results after installation
- Integration success in customer systems
Customers are responsible for verifying part numbers, specifications, and system compatibility before purchase.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- Leoelectromech shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
- We are not responsible for downtime, production loss, lost profits, project delays, or labour costs.
- Our maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
- Order Cancellations
Orders may only be cancelled before procurement or shipment begins.
Once sourcing, processing, or shipping has started:
- Orders cannot be cancelled.
- Cancellation may result in charges covering supplier commitments and logistics costs.
- Force Majeure
Leoelectromech shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Supplier shortages
- Shipping disruptions
- Customs delays
- Government restrictions
- Natural disasters
- Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact Leoelectromech to resolve any issue before initiating a chargeback.
Unjustified or fraudulent chargebacks may result in:
- Immediate account suspension
- Legal recovery of losses and fees
- Reporting to payment processors and credit agencies
- Policy Updates
Leoelectromech reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of purchase governs the transaction.
